Website Downtime, but New Web host!

My current provider will not suit me in the near future with it’s database limits and terrible customer service. I have to say that finding a good webhost for cheap is a pain in the ass. I spent a few hours today researching and finally decided on hostican.com.
But seriously, finding good hosting is overwhelming. Especially these days, everyone is offering a million terabytes for a few dollars, but there is just one problem. They either make your website disapear from the face of the earth at random times or kick you out for using too many resources.
What the heck?
Why are you offering a gazillian bytes of storage and bandwidth when you only allow a certain amount of server resoruces to be used for an account. I guess that makes sense since you put 100 accounts on one server and you don’t want to piss off everyone, but why don’t you tell people this before they sign upa nd give up their hard earned cash.
I guess I really have no one to blame. I am asking a lot for a 10 dollar a month host, but please be more open about it!
Anyway, I signed up for the tera plan, and I think it’s gonna be great. I get unlimited bandwidth and 500 gigs of space. That’s pretty sweet. Web hosting has come a long way from its dingy 10 megabyte offers back in the day. But what’s important is that people seem to genuinely like them.
Most web hosts have a million BBB complaints and websites like www.webhostnamesucks.com. Here’s a popular provider’s sucks website: www.ipowerweb-sucks.com. Hostican.com is smarter in that they registered it themselves already and gives reasons why it doesn’t suck. I think that’s funny, but there isn’t much hate for hostican out there, which is amazing for a company that offers so much for so little.
Anyway, this web hosting talk may be boring to you or may excite beyond your wildest dreams. I just want to let you know my blog will down for a day or two while I transition to my new web host. I hope everything works out well.
I need sleep to clear my head of all this web host talk.
